Celebrating One of Cheshire's Biggest Hospitality Honours
We are absolutely delighted to share that Tilly's Bunbury has been named one of the Top 3 Finalists for Café of the Year at the Cheshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2026.
To be recognised alongside some of Cheshire's finest independent cafés is an incredible honour, especially considering we only took over Tilly's in August 2024.
The awards evening was held at the beautiful Carden Park Hotel, where hospitality businesses from across the county came together to celebrate the very best food, drink and customer experiences that Cheshire has to offer.
A Proud Evening for the Tilly's Bunbury Team
One of the highlights of the evening was being able to take members of our amazing team along to celebrate.
Although customers often see the friendly faces serving coffee, preparing breakfasts or baking cakes, there is so much hard work that goes on behind the scenes every single day. This recognition belongs to every member of Team Tilly's Bunbury.
Seeing everyone swap aprons for evening wear and enjoy a fantastic evening together was something we'll remember for a long time.
The event itself was beautifully organised, bringing together passionate café owners, chefs, restaurants, producers and hospitality professionals from across Cheshire. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many businesses that care deeply about delivering exceptional food and service.

From New Owners to Award Finalists
When we took over Tilly's Bunbury in August 2024, we had one simple vision:
To keep everything people already loved about Tilly's while adding new ideas that would help it become even more of a community destination.
Since then we've introduced:
New seasonal menus and homemade specials
Community events including Open Mic Nights and networking events
Private catering and celebration packages
Continued investment in speciality coffee and homemade baking
Support for local suppliers wherever possible
A welcoming place where visitors, walkers, cyclists and local residents can relax together
Being recognised as one of Cheshire's top three cafés tells us we're moving in the right direction.

This recognition is theirs just as much as ours.
Looking Ahead
While we didn't take home the winner's trophy, being recognised as one of the Top 3 Cafés in Cheshire is something we are immensely proud of.
It's another milestone in what has been an incredible journey so far, and it motivates us even more to continue improving, creating memorable experiences and making Tilly's Bunbury somewhere people love to visit.
Thank you to Cheshire Life Magazine for hosting such a wonderful celebration of Cheshire hospitality, and congratulations to every finalist and winner. Events like these showcase just how much talent exists across our county.
We can't wait to welcome you back to Tilly's soon.
